Karla Dueñas Cantarell was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco. Her passion for makeup began at a young age, eventually leading her to study at the prestigious Blanche Macdonald Centre in Vancouver, Canada. She later continued her training at the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, where she honed her skills and techniques.

In a career that now spans over 14 years, Karla has pushed through the ranks in both film and television. From earning her stripes as a makeup artist on 007: Spectre to heading her own department on Netflix productions such as Pedro Páramo and the upcoming The Gringo Hunters, Karla’s progression in the industry has been steady.

She currently resides in Mexico City, where she continues to develop her career and passion for makeup.
